If you are traveling with a roommate, please be aware that you will be responsible for the additional cost for Single Occupancy in the event of cancellation and if another roommate cannot be found. JW Trips™ will not be responsible for finding another traveler as a roommate.
Cancellations, Refunds, and Trip Interruptions: Due to the nature of group travel and contracting with service providers, deposits cannot be refunded. Unused hotel accommodations or unused features or segments of the purchased tour are not refundable or exchangeable for other services. You can get to the Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI) by flying in a plane or riding a car, bus, or train. Your flight ticket is NOT included. A Hotel Shuttle will pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel nearby, where the JWTrips guides will be waiting for you. You can go to your hotel room starting at 3:00 p.m.
We'll be staying at this hotel for just one night. It's about a 45-minute drive from Washington, DC.
We will check out from the hotel in the morning and begin the day in Washington, DC.
You will have a Guided Tour of the Museum of the Bible.
To enjoy all the main monuments in Washington from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, we will make quick stops whenever possible at the following monuments: the Washington Memorial and the US Capitol, the World War II Memorial, the Martin Luther King Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial.
We will continue our journey to the NY area at 3:00 p.m. and arrive at your hotel near Bethel in the evening.
*Driving time from Washington to the hotel near Bethel is approximately 6 hours, with stops to eat included.
After lunch, we will visit the new World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in Warwick.
We will start with the self-guided tour of the new World Headquarters in Warwick for our afternoon self-guided tour! You will be able to enjoy three unique exhibits: “The Bible and the Divine Name,” “A People for Jehovah's Name,” and “Faith in Action.”
After the Warwick Tour, we will visit a nearby creamery to get ice cream. You will enjoy the view!
In the morning, we will tour the Patterson Educational Center. Here, you will learn about First-Century Bible Village, which will help enrich your bible reading. First-Century Bible Coins: this exhibit displays a selection of original first-century coins mentioned in the Christian Greek Scriptures. “All Your Sons Will Be Taught by Jehovah.” This exhibit traces the history of our organization’s schools and training programs. “Defending and Legally Establishing the Good News.” This exhibit shares moving stories of Jehovah’s Witnesses who would not compromise their faith, even in the face of powerful opposition.
After lunch in a nearby Food Court, we will visit Wallkill, now the United States Branch Office. You will walk through the printing presses and learn how our publications are made.
After touring Wallkill, we will visit the Harvest Inn Gift Shop and end our day with a group dinner at the Harvest Inn.
After breakfast, we will depart by bus to New York City. We will make our first stop at St. Paul's Chapel, a U.S. National Historic Landmark, to see one of the few places in NYC where you can see the tetragrammaton Jehovah's name (g04 1/22 p. 3). After, we will visit the 9/11 Memorial.
Then we will go to the Chelsea Area. There, you can dine on your own and take photos of the area, visit Highline Park, and more.
At 8:00 pm., The bus will depart from the Chelsea Area and return to our hotel.
Depart for Newark International Airport, NJ (EWR), for your return flight. When booking your flight back home, you must book your departure for 1:00 p.m. or later. You will drop at the airport no earlier than 10:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m.
